Declan has been a bit behind the curve on his speech so it is extra special for us when he adds a new word. So far he says: Mama Dada Na (for Nellie) and NaNa (for banana). We have also been teaching him some sign language to help develop his communication skills. Just this past week he has started to sign with his personal version of the American Sign Language sign for "help" and it melts my heart a little every time he does it.
