Great Wolf Lodge

It was Spring Break this week, and we had visitors from Canada- my friend Karin and her son Dayton, who is half a year younger than Declan.  The boys had a total blast playing together.  We drove down to Dallas for half the week to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge.  It is a Valhalla for the pre-teen set.  The main feature is the indoor waterpark.  Declan and Dayton wore some grooves into the waterslides.

Dayton on the green belt outside our room.
The hotel restaurant gave out cub ears with every kids' meal.

Every night there was storytime in the lobby of the lodge, so all the kids would gather in their pjs to hear the story.

The boys enjoying the animatronic show in the lobby, the message of which was "Don't fear Mother Nature, she will never hurt you."   Hrmm.

My Litte Firefly

Declan started playing team soccer today, with the U3 Fireflies.  It was pretty relentlessly cute, seeing all these two year olds get after it.

Declan loved every minute of it - it was, after all, running + ball.

Super Declan.

Declan went to a superhero themed birthday party on the weekend, but refused to put on his custom made cape and mask until all the other kids left and the party was over. That is why he is alone in all these pictures. But super-cute, no?

In other news, our trip to Denver was unsuccessful this go around.  They couldn't get my ovaries going, so Dr. Schoolcraft cancelled my cycle and we came home a week early.  He said that my poor response could be because I started this cycle so exhausted and depleted, or it could just be the end of the road for us, and the only way to know is to try again.  So we will head back for another cycle at the end of April.  To switch it up, Dr. Schoolcraft is putting me on a protocol that has never been tried before.  It will involve a few weeks of me taking testosterone and human growth hormone.  Time to man up!  I've never been a medical experiment before.
